Thanks for the warm welcome, you guys...

Oksewglad, you're exactly right about the giving of your handiwork. My grandaughter always told me I made her feel like a princess...how can you resist after a comment like that.

NiceNCLady, I'm originally a Greensboro girl but now I live on the coast in Wilmington.

pocoellie, thanks for the encouragement on the Kim Deihl quilts. I have another one in the works right now from a local Myrtle Beach quilt designer but I already have the fabric for my first Kim Deihl. Hopefully I can post something soon.

PiedmontQuilter & Ninnie, I assume you guys evidently live near where I would like to be...Mary Jo's. I am determined to make a road trip before the year is up, lol!

Why, yes we do. I'm just a little closer than Ninnie ~ but I think she's has the advantage of family living in or around Gastonia. I too need to make a trip before the end of the year - maybe we can all plan a trip at the same time and meet up. I'm sure we wouldn't have to twist Ninnie's arm. :D :D

That sounds like fun. Since I haven't been to Mary Jo's before I may need someone to help restrain me. I miss the days when you could find lots of bargains at the N.C. mill outlet stores. Now they're all gone.
