Hello from North Carolina!
Well, I never thought that I would get into quilting because I always imagined that I did not have enough patience to work with all of those little pieces. Surprise surprise! I am almost finished with my first ever quilt (lap quilt) and have fallen in love with the whole process :-). So many things to learn, so many beautiful fabrics to work with, so many wonderful people who share information and encouragement. Thank you for this site!

Tea1672, you have found a glorious group of quilters to encourage, teach and laugh with. Welcome to the Quilting Board. If you haven't already, wander around the site and explore what is here for you. You can always ask anything about quilting or life in general without fear. We have all been newbies and are all passionate about using little pieces of fabric to create beauty, fun and warmth.

We are so glad to have you join us here. Some of us just appreciate the process of cutting up perfectly fine fabric to make other things and take to it more than others!
The internet is such a marvelous resource, I started before the internet, before rotary cutters even and had to learn so many hard lessons. If I can help someone avoid my mistakes or recover from their own, it's a good day.
So share your successes as well as your problems. We are here for both sides.
