I just joined tonight, but I have been reading this board for over a year. Really enjoy seeing the completed quilts. Also learned a lot from everyone's questions. :thumbup:

There's a new challenge thing on this site that's just for hints and suggestions for us newbies. I'm new to the site, fairly new to quilting (just a couple of years) but I'm an old hand at sewing. My much older sister taught me to sew on mom's machine at the ripe old age of three and I've been sewing since--53 years now.

Thank you to all, I have only been quilting since October of 2007, but I love it and try to work on something everyday. I was given a used sewing machine from my mother-in-law. So I am still learning everything.
