Check out the main section, it has a lot of good info. Carol Doaks beginner book is good, as are many others. Feel free to pm me and I can give you a good list of quilting books(I am a book nut) if you are interested.

I also host the monthly Secret pal swap, great way to meet quilters online..

trupeach1, I'm in Columbus for now hopefully within the next couple of years moving to Athens Ohio. We have land there and my daughter wants to attend Ohio University.
