I too live out in the toolies or sticks. Glad to meet you
I am also new or fairly new and love to sew. I have a lot of guilts tops but I need to lay them out but house is very small and no place to do it. Ask my church is my next thought, to use there tables. I still remember them coming to our house and making a quilt for my new brother while the men cooked in the kitchen. I always wanted to do that to. Glad your here.

This one was done with the Fun and Done Quilting templates from www.prarieskyquilting.com I believe they have a youtube video demonstrating it. I have done several types of QAYG quilts, always trying to find the perfect one. So far I have found a few I like, it is good to have a variety. It is hard to see but the serger crazy quilt is also a QAYG just using a different method. The best I have found so far is from an Australian magazine. "Sensational Scrap Quilts" but it is about ten years old so I don't think you will easily find it. "Crazy Shortcut Quilts" by Marguerita McManus and Sarah Raffuse ( I think they have a youtube video) and "Reversible Quilts" by Sharon Pederson both have similar techniques ala my Aussie Mag and are much easier to find. Here is a picture of my Aussie Mag, the Article is on page 60.

I love your work, especially the circle quilt. That one is in my "to do" list. Most of the ladies in my quilt guild keep saying how we'll all have to live to be 150 years old just so we can finish all the projects that we want to do. Send us some cool air!!
