Was invited to your board this morning....joined in the chat for a little while...seems I'll be around here more often :)
I am a QuiltersTalk transplant...the Fons&Porter site that crashed a couple weeks ago.
I live in Southern Oregon...."gateway to Crater Lake"... I have been actively quilting since 1997, but dabbled in it long before that. I have taught classes on "machine stitched Cathedral Window," bags and totes, applique, machine applique, jackets and just basic quilting 101 at our local Community College. I love doing new techniques. I have been sewing for about 50 years (wow that sounds like a long time...since I was about 7).
I invite you to take a look at a sampling of my quilts, totes, jackets, wall hangings, table runners, etc. here:

Thanks for allowing me to pull my chair up to your virtual quilting frame!

Thanks to all of you! I immediately felt "at home" at your quilting frame :) You seem to be a great bunch of quilters! You will definitely see more of me.
I really enjoyed the immediate gratification of the live chat....didn't realize how much I'd missed it....and that's been more than 5 years ago when I had AOL as my provider!!

Welcome Carol (fellow Oregonian) :-),
You have been a busy lady! I can see that you have been quilting for years. Your quilts are lovely! I started sewing early like you somewhere between 7 & 9 years old. My first sewing project was making Jams. I don't know if you remember those?? They were baggy shorts made with a drawstring waist & most of us were using big flowered prints. I was in a little sewing club started by moms in our community. Memories!! :D Oh...did I forget to mention my age?? Yes I did!! LOL

Boy! Do I remember Jams!! In fact, I remember making some for our kids in 1989 with our own "labels---Oregon Blews" on them! lol That is when Ocean Pacific stuff was popular and we couldn't afford them.... so we just invented our own!
I remember my Dad wearing Jams for swim trunks.....white with LARGE BLUE FLOWERS! Thanks for the vivid memories! Love your quote by the way :)
Where is Beavercreek?
