    Default Hello from the PNW!

    Hi, all!

I'm a brand new quilter (as of 3 weeks ago). My local quilting shop has beginning quilting classes and, on a whim, I signed up for them. I'm learning a lot and having so very much fun. I love to crochet but quilting hits the sewing spot for me. I look forward to learning from all of you!

    By the way, if anyone is in the south sound area, let me know. I'd love to ask you questions about the local quilting guilds!<button id="tw_schedule_btn" style="padding: 4px 6px; position: absolute; left: 141px; top: 840px; background-image: linear-gradient(rgb(255, 255, 255), rgb(240, 240, 240)); border: 1px solid rgb(204, 204, 204); color: rgb(95, 95, 95); cursor: pointer; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgb(255, 255, 255) 0px 1px; white-space: nowrap; border-top-left-radius: 3px; border-top-right-radius: 3px; border-bottom-right-radius: 3px; border-bottom-left-radius: 3px; font-size: 11px; z-index: 8675309; display: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;">Schedule</button>

Welcome Wondermom from another PNW quilter. I am located in Snohomish and if you ever get this direction we have a wonderful quilt shop located here. I have been taking classes from them for the last year and learning something new and meeting new friends. Started with a monthly stash buster class and now am taking hand applique from Nancy Chong and a ruler of the month class.

Good Morning and Welcome! I have been to several quilt shows put on by the Evergreen Piecemakers, and thoroughly enjoyed them. One was at the Rec Center in Renton, another at a school. Check out their website.

She teaches 2 Fabric Applique and Hawaiian Quilting and I am going to Help with Hand Applique. Not really a class more a workshop monthly where we work on current projects and get to pick Nancy's wealth of information. There are only 4 of us currently so is really fun. She recently moved back to Everett so gives a lot of classes in our area, check out her schedule at www.quiltchong.com.
