My name is Kim and I live in Oregon. I have been quilting for about 10 years now. Wow doesn't seem like that long. I have 4 wonderful children and 1 beautiful granchild. My question is.. I just recently bought my dream machine. a pfaff creative vison. I am having problems with the 4D embroidery program. I can't get my laptop to read the vp3 files for the program any suggestions on how to fix it?

I hope not. Took me almost two years to pay off my machine. I would hate to have to get a new laptop just to use it. :( DH says go ahead you deserve it. Ijust can't justify getting a new one when this one works perfectly fine except for the vp3 files. UGH computers !!!

contact pfaff, or the dealer where you purchased your machine. when i purchased my viking i had to get a download (like an adobe reader) to read the correct downloads for the machine. it should be free and pretty easy to take care of, unless your computer is getting old and it is time to update :) i finally had to break down and buy a new computer, although my desk top still worked just fine, there were some things it just did not have the capabilities of anylonger...technology speeds forward and our computers stay where we keep them...but no matter what you have to have the correct (reader) to use the machine software

Welcome to the Board Kim! I'm sorry, I can't help you with your machine problems. Do want to let you know if you would change your location in your profile to Oregon, when we Oregon/SW WA people get together (and it is so fun) an invite will go to you. Otherwise we cannot locate you. Make sense?
