Hello, from South Bend, Indiana!
Howdy!
I've been a member on this site for ages, but it's been a while since I've visited it. I figure I may as well re-introduce myself.
I'm Connie, and I've been sewing for over 50 years. I sew garments, weird ferret bedding, doll clothes, and I quilt, too. My current preferred machine is my HV 535, but I do have others, too. My most recent acquisition (sometimes I feel like I'm running a home for wayward sewing machines) is a Singer 401A which I found on eBay - my mom had one of these and it's the machine I first used. I started quilting about 15 years ago, and for years I was obsessed with it, but two cross-country moves have put that to the back burner.

Currently I'm working on a wardrobe for my grand-niece's new doll, who's a clone of the Wellie Wishers. It's been going slowly because the patterns aren't quite right for the doll so I'm having to do some pattern manipulation. Other things on my to-do list include making a nightgown for a friend, altering a pair of pants for another friend, and getting my sewing room more organized. My sister currently has 3 of my quilt tops which she's supposed to be working on with her longarm, but I'm starting to think I'll never see those again, at least not finished, and I'm not looking forward to doing them on my regular machines.
