Welcome from Washington State. When I first quilted I used remnants from my sewing, that was back when we used cardboard templates and drew around the template for each thing, before the cutting mats and such, then my dh said I should buy some fabric to make quilts with, which I had never heard of. Cutting up perfectly good fabric for that was like a sin. Well I got over that quick, I now have a humungous stash that I am very proud of and cut that fabric with no problems at all :-D

Welcome to the QB. Waving from Texas. I am a hand quilter too. And needle turning is fun. I am about to start some again. I agree cutting up perfectly good fabric to make it into something awesome. Great idea....where's my scissors?
