Yes. I started it as a transportation quilt for son's bed when he was young (he's 29 now). One day my Mom called and said she had this quilt that I had started and all of the applique pieces were cut out, so did I want it? Well, of course I had to take my time machine and go back about 18 years. As I was thinking to myself, "Self, you have to have been crazy to start a totally hand appliqued and embroidered quilt for your first project, file it under UFO", my husband said to me that he sure thought that what be a nice quilt and he would love to have it. Gee, isn't that GREAT honey. So that's the story, it is totally handmade and quilted after 25+ years, and absolutely gorgeous.

Hi there from Phoenix, AZ.
I have occassionally thought of relocating to another dry place .... but there are over 13 quilt stores in this area and I am only a few minutes from the largest quilting fabric store in the state!
Nothing else can come near this piece of quilting heaven.
If you get down this way, send a PM and we can get together.
Oops, did I forget to mention I do p.r. for www.quiltcamp.com and we have a quilt camp coming up at the end of January. We get a lot of out-of-state quilters. Hmm, maybe because Phoenix in January is beautiful?
Safe travels.

I must have missed your introduction. Welcome to the board, I know you will find some more projects for us to do. There are lots of talented folks here. I have been looking at the one block wonder. Some of the Rum Creek ladies want to learn how to do this, so I am going to learn it and show them. There is a good tutorial on this board.
