Welcome from upstate New York.
I was new last year to quilting and have learned so much on this board.
My one suggestion is to keep a journal of all of the quilts, etc that you make. With each entry, mark the date started, finished, name, who you gave it to, why, and most importantly a picture and what you learned while making the quilt. You'll be surprised how much you learned in one year.
Good luck, and if you need any help you are sure to find it on this board. There are a lot of talented, friendly people on here that are willing to help.
