Hi from Hendersonville NC (not quite close enough), but quilting buddies welcome you here! Is there a quilt guild over near Columbia? or maybe your local Joann's has some info on quilt clubs.

Welcome from Fort Lawn SC. I'm 60 miles N of Columbia. There are a lot of Quilt Guilds and clubs around the Columbia and surrounding area who welcome new members, including beginners. It's a great way to make new friends!
