THANKS FOR THE WELCOME. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I CAN SHARE. I'VE BEEN QUILTING FOR ABOUT 7 YRS NOW & STILL FEEL LIKE A BEGINNER. I'M SELF TAUGHT & IT'S TAKEN YEARS TO KIND OF GET THE HANG OF QUILTING. THE MOST DIFFICULT THING FOR ME IS HOW THE HECK DO YOU MEASURE WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE THE LINES ON THE CUTTING BOARD WHEN THE FABRIC IS ON TOP? I'M SURE THIS SEEMS LIKE A SILLY QUESTION FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN QUILTING AS LONG AS I HAVE.

I have a clear slotted ruler that is about 12 inches. Sorry I've had it for a little while and I can't remember where I purchased it. I'm thinking Wal-Mart, before they went Super sized.

I am getting a larger cutting mat, so I can spread my fabric out more and still have the lines to line it up on. And a new ruler too... Merry Christmas to me!!!
