I lived in the Sacramento/Davis area for 6+ during college and little after. Yeah the HEAT is NOT good. It was too hot even at 4 in the morning. Can't open the windows EVER in the summer. Plus, as a poor college bum, I couldn't afford to have my AC running all the time - I did a lot of wandering through the frozen aisles of grocery stores during those times... hahaha

That is nuts :P. I hate the heat. I hate sticking to my couch. I hate going outside for any reason. We're living in a house built in the 70s and the AC is on it's last legs ... hopefully it'll last through this summer.
I have 2 small children (3 and 1). And ever since having them, I hate the heat even more. They do love being hosed down though :P.
I'll continue quilting through the summer - stick with the night-time to do any hand quilting/binding.
Crossing my fingers for a working AC through the summer.
BTW - our furnace just gave up this past weekend - thankfully winter is over!

Ahem - word of warning: At around the age of 45 "heat" takes on a whole new meaning and it is a bugger to get away from it. My mom used to call it "being chased by the angel with the flaming sword" aka the personal climate zone. So enjoy the AC. In a few decades, the electric bill will go through the roof. lol
