Welcome, my oldest son graduated from Mercer U in Macon and now works and lives in Savannah. One of my stepsons and his family live outside Elijay we love visiting Ga. My 1st quilt was a baby quilt several years ago too. You'll enjoy this quilting neighborhood!

My son has had one interview at Mercer; hasn't heard anything... We've spent several visits in Savannah...beautiful city in case anyone ever gets down that way. Can't recall going to Elijay, but do know they have a very large craft show once a year up there...
I've lived in GA all my life. It's a good place, except in the middle of summers like we have been having this year.

Trying to figure out where Nicholson is. Believe it is somewhere up near Athens? I travel through that way (Athens area) about once a month on the way to help out with my sister. I go to NC and stay, usually a week a month, to do what I can for my brother-in-law. My sister's health is not good, and he is the sole caregiver.
Glad to know there are others fairly close by on this Board. Have enjoyed it so much!

Wow! What an encouraging group! I have had welcomes from 16 states, sometimes more than one from the same state, and 2 from other countries! Now that is what I call a WELCOME! Thank all of you! I have been amazed. I am from a real small town, and could probably be described as a country hick...We used to travel some with my husband's work, but now he is retired and stick fairly close to home. It has been amazing all the different places represented on this Board and the friendliness goes beyond what anyone could imagine! Thank all of you so much.
