Hi from Eastern Washington!
Hi, everyone! I joined a while back but have only sent one post so far. I have, however, read lots of really great stuff and I feel like part of the community already! I started sewing in 7th grade and never really advanced my skills until recently - I still kind of feel like I ought to go through beginner's sewing, to get all the basics, but I'm not going to! I have arthritis in my hands and I need to get my quilting done now, before they cramp up forever!! BTW, I'm not quilting right now because my heat pump is down and it's pretty chilly in here - can barely type. Anyway, I want to make quilts for all of my loved ones, and maybe even one for myself, so I keep working away.
Oh, the sudden obsession with quilting has also developed into a desire for lots of machines. I have a Bernina 750 (new), a Bernina 830 (old), two Janomes, (all working), and I picked up a Japan-made Necchi Electra SX-4000 at the Goodwill a couple of weeks ago. It runs, but I haven't done anything with it yet. Also a Janome and an Elna serger (with no power cord). I hope to use the sewing machine tutorials to get the Necchi running well, if I ever have time. It's so pretty; kind of beige and cranberry and heavy as the old Bernina.
Thanks for having this site!
