Welcome from Atlanta, GA! Great cutting and sewing are the major "secrets" to quilting so hang in there with your work-in-progress and learn a lot from it. Be sure to post a picture when you're done!

Welcome to the board. I heard a Master Quilter say once that she had been quilting over 25 yrs and had never made a perfect quilt, but if you looked you would see places that were perfect. All I know is that I will never have to make a humility block intentionally there will always be something there.

Life would be so boring without imperfections.

Welcome and don't be too hard on yourself, we all make mistakes when we are first learning. You should have seen my first applique block. I was taking a class and the teacher couldn't figure out what I had done. Years later I learned that I sew "leftie" and really didn't understand what she was trying to teach. Fusible applique on the other hand, that I'm good at.
