Hi-I am new to the site-and a newbie quilter!

Hello everyone :-)
My name is Theressa and I live in Wonder Valley, California. I have been quilting (if you could call it that) by making-you guessed it! block quilts....I know that was ard to figure out **smile**
I have been fascinated by quilts since I was a little girl. My first quilt was made by my grandmother and it was a faded pink background with Sunbonnet Sue in various different colors. Sime my abuelita didnt have a sewing machine, it was a treasure to look at, touch and hold.
I am a school asministrator and LOVE my job though some days I wouldnt give you a nickel for it LOL!
I live on 10 acres in a ranchhouse with my love, Tom, our 7 Appaloosas, 3 calicos, and 30 chickens. I tried my first official quilt from a magazine and it was called Saddle Tramps. I have to learn how to post pictures, and will definitely show it off, as I forced myself to follow the directions and LOVE it dearly, as it is our first quilt......
I have three grown children, 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson. I love learning, education and quilting.
This posting is new to me, but this seems to be a very nurturing place. I am looking forward to learning more techniques and will be asking lots of questions, I am sure.......
