Yes, there are probably about 8 in Massachusetts that can themselves professional sharpeners. I started my business about five years ago to help pay my road expenses since I've been a manufacturer's rep. in the textile industry for over 30 years and the economy started to go south. Anways, this small business of my has really blossomed with the addition of an online store over the past 5 years. Besides the quilting shops, my accounts range from the drapery workrooms, sailmakers, tailors, chefs, upholsterers, awnings fabricators to podiatrists. I enjoy working with the quilting industry because the majority of the small shop owners truly enjoy what they doing. When you stop and think about it, the majority of these businesses are the end result of hobby.

Was Atman Auto Parts on the lower end of High St? Was there a small convenience store next door that was a family run business? It really is a small world![/quote]
Hi, Sorry I didn't get right back to you. I haven't been on here for a few days...My daughter got married yesterday. I believe the store was at 242 High St. And yes, it was a family owned business and there was a little convenience store there. My husband worked there, but his brother owned it. He owned the whole block of store fronts, but some were not rented. We moved in 2001 and my husband didn't work there for at least a year. The building was sold.
