I agree with pocoellie - hexagon quilts take alot of time and you have to also make lots of triangles to put it together
If you have charms you all would like to use, don't cut them just sash them to make a quilt top.

Hi and welcome from Massachusetts. I agree with the rest. Take it from experience That was my first quilt. It took me 2 months and that was a baby quilt.
