haven't been back east since the 50's. Do remember when little my family going crab fishing at a place called Santa Moriches (?) don't know if that is correct spelling. We took a train from Astoria and then rented a boat. One of those places that stays in your mind because of all the fun we had.

I think you mean Center Moriches. It is out East more from us. My DH kept a boat out there a few years ago. About 45 Minutes from us.We used to be summer people and then we finally bought a house and live here about 38 years.
