Hi - long time quilter from Vermont
#1
I just joined this board, I have been quilting for 30 years but not so much lately. I used to make and sell full size hand quilted quilts, but of course it's tough to compete with China!
Have had a rash of 5 grandkids in the last 4 years so am having fun making crib quilts for each one as they come along. But I miss doing a lot of hand quilting, I used to do it for 6 hours a day. It is so relaxing.
I am lucky in that I have a hubbie who likes to machine piece.

Welcome, and you are indeed fortunate to have a husband who enjoys part of your craft.
I know what I would have you send me this fall...some close up images of your beautiful fall colored leaves!
I miss the beaches now that the oil slick has hit.
I dread the storms that blow in from the ocean...tropical storms as well as the deadly hurricanes.
I shudder that there is no winter cold enough to kill off the bugs...
But I really miss the change of season the north enjoys.
I don't miss slipping and sliding on the ice, or slush ...
But do miss the fresh snow, and the crisp cool air.
Long winded, but a warm welcome from the Florida Pan-handle
