Hi from mid-Michigan. :)
Hi everyone!
My name is Danielle and I'm 25 and embarking on my first quilting adventure. I'm attempting to figure out how to make a photo quilt for my best friend as a wedding present. If anyone knows how any info would be appreciated.
I decided to become crafty since I'm not longer in school and have free-time. Actual free-time for the first time in what seems forever. I would love to make quilts and learn to sew. I have taken two sewing classes so far. I've made a pillowcase and a tote bag. Both were semi-successful. Hopefully I can learn to sew straight.
I love the color blue and the Harry Potter series. And I wish I could eat chocolate cake every day. I have four-year-old basset hound named Ranger. He is awfully cute.
I'm not sure what else I should write... But I'm looking forward to quilting in the near future.

You can also get the photo sheets at Wal Mart. I have used them many times. This is one I made several years ago. It is simple and was made for a friend who lost their dog. Good luck and welcome to the board from the friendly State of Alabama.

Welcome! You might want to hook up with a local quilt store and sign up for a quilting class or two. I learned a lot and then had the confidence to more forward on my own. Also, if you have a quilting guild in your area, join it. I knew if I surrounded myself with quilters, it would rub off and there is so much knowledge in one guild.

Welcome from OHIO! This is a great place to learn a lot. The quilters here seem to have the answer for every question about quilting. I have been quilting for years and still learn new things on this board. Take some classes, dive in and don't be afraid to ask.
