    Hi Tomi,
Welcome to the world of Quilting lovers! I have a son in Iraq. He was telling me while he was home on leave last month that they are all receiving so much from the public that he'd really like us to make quilts for the wounded. There is a hospital in Bagadad that receives our wounded warriours that he's getting the address for. He said the guys going there are in need of some love and attention.

Hi there! There are many in my family who have and are serving in the armed forces. Some are home, and some have come home. I spent a lot of time growing up in Miss. with my granny. She lived in McCall Creek and then in Smithdale just outside of McComb. So many memories, all of them wonderful. Seems like at one time or another all my quilts end up as lap quilts. I hand quilt a lot of them...and they were some of my first originals. Welcome!

I know where both those communities are! MY SIL grew up in McCall's Creek... and I rode past it at least once a week going from my home in Natchez to my grandparents in Magee.

I have also been through Smithdale a zillion times on my way to McComb and other parts south.

    Small world! Barb

That's what I hear.....kinda like a quilt though, huh? Lots of little pieces that fit together no matter where they may be placed in it all. Sure miss those magnolias and my grannies pecans, and that wonderful cane syrup!
