Welcome to the board from a nomad who finds a temporary home in your area a couple of times a year.
We're full-time RVers with kids and grands in Beaumont and Houston. We spend time at a Lake Conroe RV park a couple of times a year.
I've heard there's a nice LQS in Conroe, but haven't made it there, yet.

Hi, from down the road (The Woodlands). There are several people in the area on the board. Conroe has a guild of nice people and if you haven't been to Quilting Quarters, you should go. Very nice people and some lovely fabrics. You, too, MerrylouW!

Welcome from your Sister (boopisit)....looks like you have a quilting quild in Conroe...MUST look into it. that would be a great thing for you to get lots of information on quilting also..YOU MUST PM the quilter from the Woodlands...thanks for a great weekend....love you sis.
