Hello, Welcome from North Central PA.
My DD is doing grad studies at uni in Auckland. We were in Wanaka when you folks had your earthquake in Christchurch in February, and then flew out of Christchurch 3 days later. You poor folks! Were you impacted much? I still am keeping that area in my prayers.

So glad to have you on the board. You will love it here. Everyone is so great and generous with their encouragement and sharing their experience.

Thanks for your kind welcome. We live 5 minutes from Christchurch airport, an area more affected by the September 2010 quake rather than the February one. The city centre is being demolished rather quickly and is still cordoned off from the public.
Thank you for your prayers too, it is comforting to know that people around the world are thinking about us.

Hi Maria. What part of NZ do you live in? I will endeavour to get photos posted of my raggy quilts and my 2 lonely flowers for the start of my Grandmothers quilt garden. Do you have any recommendations for a source of reasonable priced fat quarters here in NZ? I have been thinking about joining the international fabric swap but at $6.50 per fat quarter for NZ prints it will get a bit expensive.
