Welcome from North Carolina. I too recently retired and started quilting for local charities/assisted living centers. I am new to quilting and was "hooked" (as you said) from the beginning. I haven't had a chance to take any classes ... primarily self taught at this point ... but maybe one day. Hope you enjoy this site as much as I do.

Welcome from mid Wis. You now have a lot of friends! I bought a Pfaff in 1957, still works. I`m no expert, but love my hobbies. I never could take a class, so I`m self taught! I learned a lot right here. I live on a farm, now ,never did get shopping much in town, so I made small things, like dolly blankets. Then worked my way up. Most of the answers I got were from this board. I did send my cure for arthritis, and you will not believe how many replies I got. Sure hope it helped them all, as I tried meds for years, and still cried when I had to change the babies diapers. I hardly ever think about it now, however at my age I have other things.
