    Welcome from Ontario, Canada. The 800 series have the largest harp in the Bernina's. I have seen them working and they do a nice job. The only drawback I can see if you have only about 8 inches of quilting space. They do wonderful quilting with the computer system and you can do endless custom designs. They are best for 6 to 8 inch motifs or designs across the quilt in lines. If you want bigger or more complex designs I would go with a mid or long arm machine. Just my opinion as I do not own a quilting machine and frame.

    Welcome! Inorder to do 12 1/2 in. blocks set on point you need a 26 in. opening I think. You might be able to go smaller but it will be harder to work on. Also look at the height of the opening.
