Hi, I'm from Pretoria, South Africa.
Married for 28 yrs, 2 boys, 1 married, 1 grandson.
Am a retired Registerd Nurse and Midwife.
"Discovered" quilting on the internet about 2yrs ago - and about 8 quilt-tops later I can tell you I am what Kay Wood would call .... a "pointless" quilter on a galloping horse!
I don't have no qualms about points that don't match, haywire seams, if the colors go together .... niks.
I have way too much fun learning new techniques, and playing with all my sewing-toys ....
My timing was way off in the chat-room this morning .... but HI to you all ... it is good to meet you!

Hi from Petoskey,MI. What's the weather like there in March? I'm glad that you are enjoying quilting. I'm not as experienced as the others on the board,but I truely am having fun. I'm working on a hand pieced,hand quilted log cabin quilt at the moment. If you're not familiar with the process ,you quilt as you sew on batting ,and backing. Then I'm going to try to do the cotton theory on the back. I will let you know how it works.
