Hi Sarah, welcome and condolences regarding your cousin. Do you know about a shop in Southport called Crafts and Quilts in Marshside Rd ? We came up to visit friends in Manchester from Hampshire and found this shop- it is very good and they are often at the big quilts shows. Good luck and there is always someone here who can answer any queries you have.

Hi Sarah! Welcome from New York. While this site offers support and encouragement, I'd recommend a quilting class. Go to your LQS (local quilt shop) and sign up for a beginners class. You won't regret it.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!
