Hi,
My name is Sarah and I live in Southport.
I have been married for 7 yrs and have 2 sons aged 6yrs and 21 months.
I joined this forum as I am a complete quilting novice and thought I could get some helpful advice!
I am hoping to make quilts for my sons this year as a tribute to a very special lady.
My cousin was a wonderful quilter and lived in Ireland. We go over every year to visit our family. Three years ago she gave me a lesson on quilting and I told her that I would definately give it a go, unfortunately, work and family got in the way and I never got around to starting my quilt.
Then my cousin was diagnosed with cancer and died shortly afterwards.
I have since had another baby and decided the time is right to keep my promise to her.
I have an old singer sewing machine and lots of enthusiasm but not much experience!!!
Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.
