Hello Isabella, welcome to the Board - where in Tassie are you? I did coach camping holiday trip from here to there in Jan '83 and our last lunch before flying back to Melbourne, was in a tiny place called "Perth" - I didn't know we had a baby sister city/township there until then :D That was the only real holiday in my lifetime and I still remember it so well.
Enjoy time with your new friends here on the Board - I have osteo arthritis in my hands (and elsewhere of course!!) so have got into machine quilting in recent years and now doing an applique sunflower wallhanging

Ada, I was taken to read that you have osteo in your hands. I have been battling end stage 3 osteo in my knees for near on 10 yrs and it has now spread to my hands. Hand sewing is difficult as is opening anything and even writing sometimes.
The absolute pits! As I was struggling with the hand sewing of my binding on the latest quilt this past weekend, I wondered if there was a good way to sew the binding on by machine without it being too noticeable.
Regards
