Welcome from the Columbia river gorge! I have one of those Janome 8900s. I sew on it daily: I'm taking it to my grave,wrapped arms around it! DH and I just vacationed in your fair town...love the sausages.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I am happy to have found this site and look forward to sharing and learning. I believe I am going to get the Janome 8900....I am hearing such wonderful feedback about the machine. I will be heading to Oregon soon and will probably come home with a gift for myself

Welcome from Kentucky. I just bought the Janome 8900QCP today. I have been playing with it all afternoon. I love it! It has so many features that make it a quilter's dream. I did a lot of research on the Horizon 7700 with the intentions of buying it. The more I read, the more I found out about the 8900 that drew me towards it. When I went in to the shop this morning, they offered it to me for only $300 more than the 7700. The red on the 7700 is so pretty, but the 8900 is pretty too. I am very happy with my choice. I read a lot on the Yahoo group about the Janome 7700 & 8900. Good luck looking!
