    Default Hi from Washington State

My name is Darlene and I just joined. I am hoping to find ideas and help on how to make a quilt from old linens. I have a collection of old pillow cases, dresser scarfs and other old linens. I am new to quilting and don't know where to start.

Hi. I am from the Tri-Cities, Washington. It's wonderful that you already have your collection of vintages things. I am sure lots of quilters will jump in here and give you suggestions. Waving wildly. Linda

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I think there might be a tutorial for using hankies in the tutorial section of QB? If you type in hankie quilts in the search box at the top of the QB site there have been several posted.

    Howdy and welcome from Texas.

I've seen pictures posted of folks using old hankies, etc. for quilts. Glad you have a collection of old linens to use!

Welcome from Spanaway, WA. As a suggestion, why don't you save your old linens for awhile. Start your quilting experience with a small and simple quilt pattern such as a Log Cabin and new fabric.
