Amazing work on your 1st real quilt. It doesn't matter how long it takes, it matters that you finished it. I'm impressed how well you cut the directional fabrics so perfectly or at least it sure looks like you did. I tend to forget about that when I use those types of fabrics. Good work and can't wait to see what you do next. Keep us posted.
Just to let you know, I have 1 quilt I designed myself, which is probably why its taking me so long as I didn't figure out the size cuts correctly and I'm still trying to figure it out. Anyway, I started that quilt before the pandemic and it's still in a tote waiting to be finished. Got all the various blocks made, it's the sashing between the rows of blocks that's got me stumped so see, you're not the only one where it might take a long time to finish. I'm sure others have stories where it took 20 years to finally finish it so you're ahead.
