Howdy from a Tiny Texas Town
#21
Are you anywhere near Austin--there are several small towns near there, and my GS might be able to help you out with your little FW. PM me. I answered one of your posts from today about the FW you just recently found at an estate sale....BTW, welcome to the board. You're "in" with a bunch of wonderful folks.

Ooooops, guess I got you mixed up with someone from Texas who just found a FW in her ventures out into the estate sales, etc. world. I re-read this posting and see that yours is a Kenmore. You're lucky, they are good machines if it is from the 70s. Sorry, but welcome to the QB. You'll love us.

Hi from Nebraska, we also spend some time in Texas for the winter. So interested that you have a Penney's machine. This is the first time I've heard anyone else have one. I had one for about 40 years, I think it was actually called a Pencrest. Just recently gave it to Goodwill. It was a workhorse though.

I'm sorry I'm so late in replying. I have the Featherweight up and running. I bring her out quite often to hem up something. I spent an afternoon watching old movies and sewing up my towels and washcloths. I had a blast. What a great little machine it is.
