Hi Katie, Welcome from CT. :-D If this will help just a little bit, I have learned that life is full of seasons, they begin and they end, and a better one is coming around the corner. I am glad that you joined this board...

    Welcome from New Hampshire
How about English paper piecing. It's very portable and easy to do.
There are several etailers - just google "English paper piecing"

    Welcome from Oklahoma.
I understand and the space/energy problem... it is discouraging. You might see if any of us live in your area/neighborhood and maybe you can meet up and sew a couple days a month... nothing big but something to look forward to. Good luck
