I want to give it a go...

In this area, it's quite expensive to send quilts to a LAQ. Be sure the machine you buy has a really big area between the needle and the part on the right. You will need the space if you quilt larger quilts. I'm not explaining this very well - maybe someone else can. Best of luck.

Hi from Ms. With the type of sewing you've already done, you will find quilting quite easy. I can't sew clothes, never had a sewing lesson, just bought a machine to make quilts to replace
the ones made by my grandmother that dry-rotted. With your experience, it should be a breeze.

I think these projects are probably a bit adventurous, but I'm willing to give it a go.

Welcome from Tennessee. I say if you have the money go for it. Buy what you want. I want the Janome Horizon but at this time I have too many needy kids and grandkids. So I will just use the machine I have.
