Hello and welcome. So glad your new church does the Quilt Ministry. Ours does the Shawl ministry and I just received the Quilt Ministry book for a guidleline and hope to get them to start a quilt one here.
Hi WVDEK,
The prayer quilt ministry is awesome . We make simple quilts and every quilt has a cross on the back. You can get help at prayerquiltministry.org .

Hi There,
I have been reading your posts here for awhile and finally decided to register and introduce myself. I am new to quilting but I am a long time fabric-a-holic .
We went to a new church that has a ''Prayer Quilt Ministry'' so I immediately joined it. Now I am learning a craft that I always said was too difficult for me .I am quickly finding out that quilting certainly is not too difficult .
Years ago I used to make alot of my kids clothes . My first round of kids are all grown and on their own..then..after we retired my Hunny and I started doing ''intensive care'' foster care . It sure does keep us hopping.. ! ! !
Thanks for being here... ! ! !

Welcome from Chicago. Now won't quilting fit in nicely with the ICU program in which you are involved! But you'll need to be careful ... a friend of mine who did that now has four adopted children.
DIane
Hi Diane,
Thanks for the advice. We have already adopted one...a teenager,...silly us.
Because of our ages I don't think we will be adding more to our clan.....thanks for the greeting...alice
