I'm new here

Hi, I've been a quilter for many years, but have allowed myself to drift away from my passion. I'm hoping to get established here with all of you quilty people so I'll become inspired again. :D So far I am intrigued and want to learn and share. I am in southern IL, and am a retired teacher.

Hi and welcome from Texas. I'm also a retired teacher. I taught 4/5th grade Math/Science for most of my 28 years in the classroom. Now I keep my grandson while my DIL works and goes to school. I hope you get back in your quilting groove. I've been out of mine for a bit...it's hard to sew when my grandson is here because he really likes to "help".

Welcome!!! :D I know that I've found many great inspirations here and am positive that you will too. I find that Eddie is a great inspiration just by looking at some of the quilts that he has done...and in so little time that he takes to get them done. Everyone here is such a wonderful group of friends, hope that you will continue to join us and feel the same. Hugs and hope that you get to sewing again :D TIGGER

I'm in central Illinois! Welcome. I'm a new quilter and this site has really helped me get started. One thing that has motivated me is joining a few of the swaps. Having a deadline to make something and get it in the mail is helpful. (In fact, I need to get off of here and get sewing on two projects for board members today!) So pick something and join right in. Try the next doll quilt swap when it is announced, or look at some of the other great exchanges.
Are you within easy driving distance of Paducah? I've been there twice -- plenty of inspriation there!
