I'm New! (Mostly)
Hey All,
So I was a member of this forum a few years back. I don't even remember what my username was, ha. Anyway, I recently got back into quilting after a looong time away and it feels so good! I'm working on finishing a star sampler quilt that I actually started as a block of the month here! I've got 8 of 12 stars finished and eager to do the rest. Just waiting on some more fabric to be delivered, lol.
I'm Lex, I'm from West Virginia, and on top of being into quilts I also love writing fiction (science fiction/fantasy) and art (digital mostly, but also watercolor, etc).
Hope y'all are holding up okay with this isolation business. Guess it's a good time to get back to the sewing machine!
Cheers,
Lex

Welcome back Lex. We look forward to seeing your projects.
we have our DIL and two grandsons (who had been living with family in NY) hunkering down with us here in Maine. Our son is in the Coast Guard and they have been in Key West for 3 years and are getting transferred to Maine this summer. He is living on his boat in Key West and so his wife and boys have been staying with family until they buy a house. The boys (ages 5 and almost 3) have been a good distraction for us during these long days and weeks.

Welcome from Southern Indiana! I'm sure you'll be glad you're back into quilting even though it sounds as though you like all the crafty thing. How soon do we get to see some pictures??? (We love 'em)

Welcome back! I probably missed you the first time because I've only been on these forums for a year or two now. Was so glad I found this site, all of my old Y2K era sites were closed down or radically different -- I guess things like that happen if you leave for 20 years.
I'm waving from a safe personal distance away from the greater Seattle area. I was in a pretty bad funk at first but have adjusted and recognized that as a reader, quilter, and granny video gamer my life was already pretty well socially isolated. Except through pixels and print anyway. I've read a lot of fantasy and science fiction over the years. I have vision issues now and listen rather than actually read, some of that doesn't translate as well to audio as you would think (I have a particular pet peeve about long stupid names...). The really nice thing about listening to books is I can sew and read at the same time!
And yes, we love pictures!
