Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! This seems like a very nice place. I noticed a few requests for photos so here goes....one of my kids, one of my quilts and one of Alaska. If the photos don't show up, there are tons more photos at my Webshots: http://community.webshots.com/user/Emerkaza

First, what a beautiful family! Gunnar is cute too!

Second, those are some beautiful quilts! Lots I saw I would have loved to take off your hands!

Thirdly, (and most importantly in my book anyway), CONGRATULATIONS Katie! That is a pretty quilt and the judges sure made the right choice! Will you make any more? Will you show them to us? Pretty Please?!

Thank you, Celeste. You're too kind. Katie is currently working on a quilt for the State Fair which is next month. I have my fingers crossed and hope she does as well as she did last year. Winning that ribbon is going to be pretty hard to top. It was a wonderful experience for both of us.

    Cissy:
I've fallen in LOVE! Gunner is a spittin image of our granddog. We lost her last year to old age and heart problems and miss her terribly. Gunner brought back a flood of happy puppy memories of her. You have a wonderful bunch of family pictures and it appears you folks have a wonderful, active, eclectic life in Alaska. Thank you for sharing. WELCOME to the board. There's lots of nice folks here and all are very willing to help with a quilting problem or question. You're going to like it here.
