    Hello, I'm Sherri in PA (near Pittsburgh).
    I've just started quilting- started out by hand,
    until recently, when my mother gave me her
    old- but sturdy!-Singer 247 sewing machine a week ago.
    I look forward to learning new things, meeting new people.
    P.S. The image in my avatar space is my very first quilt-top,
    which was later made into a small, (tied) quilt.

    Hello, everyone, and thanks so much for the warm welcome:)
    I'm from the small town of Somerset in Steeler Country.
    There's not too many quilt shops close by - there's a sewing center
    in the Mall, but nothing right in town here, that i know of;
    (and, of course there's Wal-mart- not too bad- i just picked up some nice cottons at a buck a yard, and an interesting print in the remnant bin, this evening.

    Hi Sherrie,
    I am a all my life ( :shock: ) Steelers fan, being from Parkersburg, WV in my youth, you know I had to stick to the Steelers. :lol: :lol: :lol:

    Welcome to the best 'secret' quilting group. You really have to run into it on searches or be invited, don't you? I love it here, I've made friends, learned something new every day, and become so addicted that I even offered to host chats on weekday mornings. I hope you become just as addicted to the best society of friends!
