Hi, new from Illinois... have been receiving newsletter for some time and glad to see the great topics already being discussed here...
I have been quilting since 94 and just love it. It is a stress-reliever for me. If I start feeling low or 'off', I usually realize that it's because I have not created something in a while.
I hope to contribute as much as I receive. Blessings of the Christmas season to everyone. Not sure what I am doing here, though... not sure I am doing the introduction part right... we will see here in a minute...

I am new to the message board just like everyone else, I have been making quilts for about three years now and usually do as gifts for others. I have to agree with you though it is a very big stress reliver and putting together a beautiful quilt gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside. I hope to learn from others here on this board and be able to use these techniques and ideas for my quilts for years to come! :D

Hey Sunbeam
Welcome and enjoy. This is like a encyclopedia of info, Post a question and you'll get an answer almost the same day. Alot of experience on this board, alot of creative attitudes and quilters eager to give their insite, experience and warm and friendly advice. If I can help, let me know. My name is Becky, I've been quilting 15 yrs. I like applique quilting,

Thank you, Becky... You say you like applique quilting... I think it is beautiful but I have done so very little... Still seem to be stuck on the 'traditional' stuff... sometimes jump out of my box... if I remember how to do it, will show quilt I finished last year and got a red ribbon on at Sandwich Fair here in Illinois. It's similar to a reverse applique (I think).

Welcome to you, too, Tonhutch... been so busy have not been back here for a while.... We are getting ready for a quilt show here in Ottawa, IL mid April. That and practicing my lines for a play for Good Friday and a few other things I have found myself in - have kept me so darn busy - took me a few minutes to find this board again... still not sure I am doing things correctly....

Thanks for the welcome, Nanner... yes, that pup knows he's beautiful... he is awful special to me. Not sure what it was like before him... he has filled my life with so much pleasure.
Been a while since I have looked into the board... need to keep up so I can keep learning new things.

Hi Sunny,
It's good to meet you. See you've been a member since Dec. and I'm new here as of Dec. It's a small world. lol lol I have received the newsletters for a spell myself then all of a sudden I found this great group. I learn something new every day from someone here. It's a mystery how I was able to quilt before I met everyone. Hope to get to know you better.
