Hi Gloria,
I'm 1/4 Indian. My maternal grandmother was 1/2 Indian. I love it.
It sounds like you are trying to applique to a heavier fabric...by machine. That is to to tricky for my limited talent.
Please share more details with us, I know someone has an answer.
