I finally decided to actually join instead of just reading - I live in Mooresville, NC (about 30 miles north of Charlotte). Previously lived in Phoenix so a big hello to all the Zonies out there. Been quilting since 1979 - back in the handwork only days!! I love hand applique (and hand embroidery) but need to do machine work as there is more time behind me than ahead of me!!! Thanks for all the great information - it's been lots of fun reading about everything.

Welcome from Illinois! I use to go to camp as a kid in North Carolina but it was near Brevard! Beautiful area!

Hi Sandy, Welcome from Southern California. I am originally from Statesville. In fact was just there last week. You are going to love this board. I also hand applique, and still hand quilt.
