Just wanted to say a quick hello!
My name is Kati, I just joined today, I cannot explain how excited I was to find this page. I’m a mom of 4 plus 2 fur babies from the great state of Indiana. I loved sewing in high school and would regularly make my own clothes. It’s been awhile since I owned my own machine though. I was just given a vintage machine by my husbands aunt and am trying my hardest to understand the thing. Don’t be surprised if I ask lots of questions and I truly appreciate all of the help!

Hello! I've sewn for most of the last 30 or so years on a machine older than I am, and I'm going to be 60 this year. Sometimes it's easy to look at all the fancy things some machines can do, but for the most part all we need is a lot of determination, practice, and a good strong straight stitch along with a consistent seam allowance. But let's be sure to have some fun along the way -- glad to have you along.

Howdy from Texas! It's great to have you here. Ask as many questions as you need. Someone is always ready to help. There are a lot of vintage machine owners on this board. If you could take a picture of your machine & let us know the model & serial number, it would be easier to help answer your questions concerning your machine. Do you have an instruction manual for the machine? Sometimes you can get one free to download online if you search around a bit.
We love pictures here & are looking forward to seeing just what you are making.
