The books on my cutting table are the ones that I'm getting rid of. I'm trying not to look at them so that I don't get tempted and put them back on my shelf. After I finish sorting the magazines, they will all be listed on Craigslist or eBay. Then, what doesn't sell will go to a local thrift. I only have a small portion of my fabric in my sewing room. The rest is in bins in the garage. It's freezing cold out there, which is another reason I'm saving that for last. Why oh why did I buy so much stuff???

Our three dogs and our visiting grand-doggy also add to the chaos. We also have three grandchildren---two of whom live just 5 minutes away, so they are here on a regular basis. Wouldn't change that for the world, but it does get pretty crazy at times.

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome! I can definitely spend hours on this board. Not so good for the organization effort......lol! I did weed out two HUGE stacks of magazines yesterday. When I say that I have magazines, I mean that I have magazines dating back to the early 1980s, when I made my first quilt! I think if you looked in the dictionary next to the word "packrat" you would see my picture!
