Just bought a nice 4 drawer tiger oak treadle but when trying to lift the machine out it appears that part of the base it rest on is hitting the cabinet (actually starts pulling the trim on top of the cabinet up). It is a chain lift. Seller stated (seems trustworthy) that the lift had been working fine. Any help on getting it up would be appreciated! It was not working when bought so moving did not cause the problem...

Maybe it's not the original machine for the cabinet? Can' help since I can't picture it.

I was getting ready to take a pic and noticed a screw holding the chain in place. Took it out, unhooked the chain and was able to raise the top! I could see where the table top was catching on the inside. So now I have to deal with that but I can get to it. Looks like it works! Just need to find out if the holes on the top of the machine is for oil as the treadle seems tight when the belt is on. I am sure it needs some oil.
    Thanks for you help!!

:) Glad you got it figured out!

You can put oil in every hole on these old girls and not mess anything up!! Oil away!
